About
The Coding Ant.
The Coding Ant is a software company that builds developer tools, web applications, and independent software products. It exists because software worth using should be built with the same precision and care as the problems it solves.
The name is intentional. Ants are small but extraordinarily productive. They work systematically, build complex structures from first principles, and operate with a kind of collaborative precision that produces results disproportionate to their individual size. That's the aspiration for this company — not scale for its own sake, but capability that exceeds what a small team is supposed to be able to produce.
The work spans product development, software engineering, and building things for our own use. Some of it is client work. Some of it is products we ship ourselves. All of it is software built to solve real problems.
How we think about software
Simple beats clever
A system that's easy to understand survives longer than one that's impressive to write.
Interfaces matter
The experience of using software shapes how people feel about the problem it solves. We don't ignore that.
Performance is respect
Slow software wastes the user's time. That's not a tradeoff we make lightly.
Maintainability is the goal
Code isn't done when it ships. It's done when it can be changed confidently, years later.

Have something worth building?
Whether it's a product idea, a technical challenge, or something that just needs to exist — we'd like to hear about it.
